The WHY is the purpose, cause or belief that drives every one of us. This is a half day workshop facilitated by us (up to 30 attendees), as detailed in Simon Sinek's book "Find Your Why", to discover your Team’s or Organisation’s WHY. Customers who asked us to facilitate a 'How To Find Your Why' workshop did so because they could see how important it is for everyone in their team to have a common purpose, and be excited about starting a new work day instead of just going to work. Because happy people increase output and reduce cost. These customers understand how important it is to attract, nurture and develop people who connect personally to the organisational WHY. Why is this needed now? The current situation of fear and social distancing is forcing people to think about their perspective on life including whether they want to go back to doing what they did in the same way that they did before. Now could be a good time to describe what you, your team and your organisation will be excited about in the future to thrive post Corona virus. What benefits can I expect to get from this? A statement that defines WHY your organisation does what it does built by the people who work there. A feeling of pride and belonging will be experienced in the production of this statement which will then be used as a barometer for future actions. How does it work? You arrange for the correct people (max 30) to be able to do some pre-work and attend a 4 hour face to face workshop. At the end of the session you will have your draft WHY statement and have established Champions to keep it alive by incorporating it into your daily schedules and decision making processes. What should I expect the session to be like? We know that this focus on your WHY will: Define a common purpose Create personal connections to your WHY for your team to aspire and live up to Make you proud Attract like minded people once embedded in your processes Help the people who don't feel like they fit in to take action What's next? It is then up to you to use your Organisational WHY to define your actions and help your customers.  You will see a shift in thinking, functional team and individual WHY statements being developed to support the organisational design, recruitment, etc. to align to the why which in essence is a cultural shift.
